Touching screen causes stutter with Vulkan

Pixel 2, Android P, any recent build of Dolphin.

In GC and Wii emulation, it runs great, but whenever i touch the screen, it stutters. ONLY when I touch the screen.
If i leave it alone and just watch, it runs fine.

This behavior isn't present with OpenGL.

What can I do to help troubleshoot this? Thanks for any assistance!

I'm beginning to think it could just be a bug regarding just the Adreno 540? I've run out of ideas to test for now.
I tried in stock 8.1 and stock 9.0, same screen touch jitters in both cases.
I've tried a Dolphin build from every two months back within the last year, but ran in to the black screen issue on builds older than the fix for that.

*EDIT: Updated to Q beta 3, no idea how the touch screen jitters are because of a new black screen bug.
*EDIT2: I know it's apples to oranges, but Vulkan appears to work great across all of these scenarios with PPSSPP. I also tried the MMJ builds but they performed much the same as the official dev builds.

hi.  did you try the mmj build ? Its linked through first post on android forum (7.0 build is 64bit) . based on the ishiiruka fork for low end pc's . I have the Andreno 540 in my s8 plus, works like a dream . Plus this build has dedicated AR/Gecko code section that works .

Hi, i talked about this "issue" in the mmj thread. I have an S9+ Exynos and after some minutes if I use touchscreen analogs the game jump from 30fps to 12-13. It happens only with digital Analog sticks, and only when you move them. If you move the analog, the game slowdown until you stop moving. It's not important to leave them in the neutral position, if the analog doesn't move there is no slowdown. Other buttons don't affect the performance. Using a joypad there isn't any problem at all, no slowdown even after hours of play. The problem happens after some minutes, so maybe it's throttling related.
