Hello, new to the forums. For reference, I am using a Galaxy Note 9, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 6 GB of RAM. My primary use of the emulator is to play Animal Crossing: City Folk, and maybe Cave Story (Unrelated but looking into installing the Wii Menu due to my file being .wad). The settings I am using are the default stock settings from installing the app.
My question focuses on the Touch IR sensor of the system, adjusting the accuracy and if there is a way to change tapping for button presses.
First, is there a way to adjust the pointer horizontally, or a guide to help do so? The pointer does not align correctly to my finger, in that it is always slightly to the right of where I touch the screen. Increasing the pitch generally makes it so the right part of my touch screen has the pointer, pointing slightly to the right, and decreasing has the opposite effect (along with not being able to move the pointer out of the screen). If this is just a problem with the resolution dolphin is making, then I can live with this, but just curious. Also, can there be an "Automatically hide IR pointer" feature? Minor idea, but would be neat in the grand scheme of things (Like it hides itself automatically after 2 seconds or something)
Second, is there a way to change the control scheme of double tapping to single tapping? Alongside this, can there be held button inputs? For example, if I were to touch and hold, the pointer will be pointing and holding the A button, or even after a double tap, during the second tap, the A button input is held. This would be helpful for games like Animal Crossing where holding the A button lets you drag items around menus.
Thank you for any help in advance!
Edit: For my second question, is this something I can request elsewhere, like in the "Dolphin Issues" page? I don't know where I can see all of the settings at once since there are two different settings pages, in game and out of game.
