Toshiba Stack not responding anymore

My dongle is the Trust 17772, and is stated as working here. After some trial and error, I got it to work (needs it's own software installed first, which somehow changes the dongle's recognized ID). Note: yes, I guess I technically have two bluetooth software sets running.

After digging around the internet, I found the dongle's release date correlates to Toshiba Stack version 8.
I found two versions of v8: 8.00.12 and 8.00.03, and tested them both.
Version 8.12 requires me to edit the text file and add in my dongle. Version 8.03..... It works without editing.

This means between version 8.00.03 and version 8.00.12, they dropped support for my dongle. Weird.

PROBLEM:
I have been playing Skyward Sword, working great except for one issue:
After a clean install, my Wiimote and dolphin (and wii motion plus insert, as I have original wiimotes) will work 100% fine (that day).
After a power off/on (the next day), I will be playing and suddenly Link (or whatever wii game) will be stuck running in the direction I was pushing. I have to save the state and close Dolphin... But dolphin won't work! Inputs from the wiimote are not being read... If I remove the batteries, resync, nothing works. Then I open up the Toshiba Stack "bluetooth settings" window. I try to disconnect, delete, or do anything in that window: 'application not responding'. Waiting for it to recover does not help, after 8 hours it will recover, but amending any settings will not fix the problem.

Rebooting my PC helps, and it will connect and Toshiba Stack will work... for 2-3 hours. Then Toshiba Stack will begin to malfunction, as above. Rebooting usually leaves me with an hour before the software breaks again, and so on.

So my new problem is: how to stop the Toshiba Stack from malfunctioning?
