Toshiba Bluetooth Stack, what am I doing wrong?

I already bought and returned an ASUS 4.0 BT USB dongle that would not work...

Then went looking for a verified list. Found this list:

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_Working_...th_Devices

And got this one that clearly states:
Trust Bluetooth 3.0 Ultra Small USB Adapter - (pn: 177725)(Tested with TR mote and Toshiba stack pairs instantly with Doplhin Wiimote menu)

I have the exact device in question. It came with drivers that also install bluetooth software.

I've tried installing just the Toshiba Stack, I get to the "Insert USB", and then it won't recognize the device.
Tried installing the bluetooth suite that comes with the device, and after that runs it is recognized. I tried installing Toshiba Stack on top of that, and once again it won't recognize the USB dongle.

Can anyone help? (and also first post, am I in the right topic?)

Technically this is about controllers, so it should be in that topic.

There you go!

As for your issue, did it come with the Toshiba stack? And have you read the RVL-CNT-01-TR Configuration Guide? It has a section on the Toshiba Stack that would be relevant whether you are using a -TR wiimote or not.

Thank you for putting the thread in the right place!

FOR ANYONE EXPERIENCING ISSUES LIKE ME, HERE IS HOW I FIXED IT:

The USB dongle came with a "Bluetooth Suite" that enabled the USB to do a lot of things. After installing and rebooting, I followed many guides' advice and used the device manager to find the ID of the USB...

I uninstalled that "Bluetooth Suite" software, rebooted, and attempted to install the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack.

I then wrote that ID I found into the tosrfusb.inf file indicated (follow the links in the connection guide) as a new device line. It would still never get past the "insert a USb device and click OK" dialogue box.

It turns out, the raw USB device has a DIFFERENT ID than when you install the Atheros "Bluetooth Suite".

I needed to plug in the dongle without any software installed, open device manager and find the "unknown USB device" and right click, open properties, and find the shorter device ID. Next I wrote THAT new ID into the file, and it worked!

A dialogue box asked prompted me that it was an unverified driver, I clicked OK and after about 8 minutes it installed. I rebooted and I now have the Toshiba Stack icon.

EDIT: NOPE. I AM GETTING THE "BLUETOOTH NOT READY" ERROR

UPDATE: JULY 17, 2015:
I have got it "working" for the most part. This dongle requires it's own Bluetooth software that it comes with to be installed. As noted above: without the bundled bluetooth software installed, the dongle has an ID; after installing the dongle software, its ID changes.
After digging around the internet, I found the dongle's release date correlates to Toshiba Stack version 8.
I found two versions of v8: 8.00.12 and 8.00.03, and tested them both.
Version 8.12 requires me to edit the text file and add in my dongle. Version 8.03..... It works without editing.

This means between version 8.00.03 and version 8.00.12, they dropped support for my dongle. Weird.

I have been playing Skyward Sword, working great except for one issue:
After a clean install, my Wiimote and dolphin (and wii motion plus insert, as I have original wiimotes) will work 100% fine (that day).
After a power off/on (the next day), I will be playing and suddenly Link (or whatever wii game) will be stuck running in the direction I was pushing. I have to save the state and close Dolphin... But dolphin won't work! Inputs from the wiimote are not being read... If I remove the batteries, resync, nothing works. Then I open up the Toshiba Stack "bluetooth settings" window. I try to disconnect, delete, or do anything in that window: 'application not responding'. Waiting for it to recover does not help, after 8 hours it will recover, but amending any settings will not fix the problem.

Rebooting my PC helps, and it will connect and Toshiba Stack will work... for 2-3 hours. Then Toshiba Stack will begin to malfunction, as above. Rebooting usually leaves me with an hour before the software breaks again, and so on.

So my new problem is: how to stop the Toshiba Stack from malfunctioning?
