I am requesting you to help work on the emulator running more graphically intense games such as Wind Waker and Twilight Princess to run at a higher frame rate. Both Pikmin games run perfectly on my device S7 Edge. I do know some if this problem is due to my hardware but I do believe that it is truly possible to get other games running more smoothly by some means in emulation program it self. I'm talking about less powerful devices the ability to take advantage of this great emulator. Maybe by using more cores in the cpu and tax more on the ram most modern devices have 4 gigs of ram at least these days. I also can run few other games just fine so I know its possible. Please take the time to make this even better for us non nividea shield owners.
To the many developer working on Android dolphin emulator.

We can't do magic. Not all hardware is good enough for emulating all GameCube/Wii games at full speed.

Using more RAM won't make any difference if Dolphin already has as much RAM as it needs. It's like if a human is trying to solve a math problem on paper – going from a post-it note to 10 normal-sized pages makes it easier (because you can write stuff down instead of trying to remember things or having to re-calculate things), but going from 1000 pages to 10000 isn't going to help (because you don't need as much as 1000 pages to solve the problem). Why would some games be possible to run fast just because some other games are possible to run fast? You don't know that they're equally demanding. 04-18-2017, 03:33 AM
So if it's an exact copy of the components inside the GameCube. How are there cpu overclocking options hacks and mods ?

The main performance bottlenecks with dolphin performance on Android(developers please correct me if I'm wrong) is core cpu performance, sustained cpu performance under load and gpu graphical drivers. Mobile cpu's are designed for quick bursts of performance and battery life in mind. And since they are passively cooled, the cpu can't handle a sustained performance load for too long or else it will overheat. Therefore it will throttle down cpu clock speed to help keep internal temperatures in check. Throw in mobile gpu drivers that are not always up to snuff and you can see why good dolphin performance on android is still a little ways away. That is something that you can't program away. Fortunately, early reports suggest the qualcomm's new 835 chip could perform quite well with dolphin. It will be interesting to see how well it performs. 04-18-2017, 06:28 PM
Additionally, we could of course need a few more optimizations in our main bottleneck, the PPC emulation: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/t...C/JitArm64
Patches are always welcome, but don't underestimate the complexity of a JIT. 04-23-2017, 12:16 AM
as a Shield TV Pro user....what i have heard the GPU and Nvidia drivers are fine but the bottleneck is the Cpu...but since the release no one cares to work on an overclocking kernel for it...Shield has a fan inside and some MHz more could do the magic...perhaps
