Dolphin has to keep the emulated DSP (used for audio) in sync with the emulated CPU, otherwise bad things will happen. There is no good solution to the audio slowdown other than having good enough hardware.

You can try underclocking the emulated CPU; that'll make the game run slower and skip frames but the audio will run at full speed. This may cause weird issues though, so use the underclock feature at your own risk.

Other than that, no, upgrading your CPU is the only way to make Dolphin run better. (And it will use less power and heat less.)

Try to use HLE instead, that need less CPU than LLE.
And try to close some other Programs that needs CPU Resourcen.

So did you overclocked your Processor to get few more fps?
