Quote:Widescreen hack? Wtf, it's a Wii game
Widescreen Hack works with Wii games . Want me to show some proofs (take time to search forum)
I finished Skyward Sword with those settings , you don't have to yell like that
Quote:And why Aspect Ratio: Stretch to window and Render to Main Window?
Other Aspect Ratio don't fill up the screen (I hate black borderline) and 2nd windows is not a good idea to me
Quote:OpenMP screws up as many games as it helps
Not with Zelda SS ,The Last Story , Xenoblade anyway
Since he only ask for Zelda SS , I don't see any problem

...who cares? The game has native widescreen capability. Wouldn't the widescreen hack do nothing? Or would it go to cinema scope if you stretch the window enough? Honestly I don't know. But the purpose of the hack is to take 4:3 games to 16:9, and it's kind of useless in wii games. And it's rather glitchy anyway.

Exactly, it's subjective. It's what you like. But most people don't like that. Really, it's just odd suggestions to give to a newbie, especially without listing the caveats or reasonings.

K, fair enough. I haven't explicitly tested it with those games. But still, you kind of have to be careful. You've seen posts here on the forum about people whining about it maxing out their CPUs for no reason, and actually causing more harm then good.

I doubt that
Hey , why don't you try it yourself ? I tried New Super Mario Bros and Xenoblade (which is 16:9 game) with Widescreen hack & Stretch to window , I notice huge difference . I can post a video if you want me to
I'm not at home right now , so can't use Real Wiimote Plus ,can't test Zelda SS

Heh, so the widescreen hack keeps it from stretching regardless of the width or height? Awesome. But yea, none of this how games are supposed to run. It is cool, but I don't really think this is something that should be told to someone on their first time using dolphin, at least without listing the problems with it. The widescreen hack is notorious for screwing up, and it's really something that shouldn't be tried by someone that doesn't even know the UI yet.

EDIT: And the instant I start a level in NSMBW, it breaks and becomes stretching again. Heh.

Use EFB to texture , Direct3D9 , 3x or 4x Internal Resolution , no AA , 16x AF , Force Filtering & Widescreen hack as bonus Big Grin , Aspect Ratio : Strecth to Windows , Render to main windows
Tick "Skip EFB ...CPU access" and Ignore Format change , OpenMP
Press Alt-Enter to toggle full screen
Thank you very much! My FPS skyrocketed and now it never goes down from 30!

Having same problem, low FPS with this game. in closed rooms im between 30-40, but in open areas, it drops between 10-17 ;( Ive tried everything from getting the june directx 2010 revision and putting that in, different versions of dolphin (7719m, 631, 3.5) all same results.

I think the main issue is for the fact that i cannot get dolphin to work using direct3d9 or direct3d11, will only work on OpenGL ;( - everytime i start up a game, any game, it crashes, so im forced to leave it on opengl

Any Help would be appreciative, and i mean id buy you a beer appreciative

Are you running the latest ATI drivers? You specs are way better than mine. I have no clue why it's crashing with DX9 or DX11, but I'd guess it's driver related.

I just repaired 4.0 framework, and updating drivers, im only going from 13.1 to 13.4 - hopefully this does the fix :/ will report back shortly

updated drivers, everything. still same results. tried other versions of doplhin, working best on 631 at 27fps, much better then the 17fps i was getting on 3.5. and on OpenGL, direct3d still wont work lol

His CPU is much slower than yours
i7 860 @ 2.8GHz vs i7 920 @ 3.8GHz (OCed)
HIS CPU is too slow for Zelda SS unless he overclock it
