Hey There! I was using Dolphin and every now and then it would freeze for 2-3 seconds, then resume normal gameplay. This would happen somewhat randomly maybe at the most 10-15 minutes apart. From researching it doesn't seem to be happening to many people, so I haven't been able to find a fix. If someone could help me, that would be great! I'd be happy to provide more information, but I'm not sure what people would want. Any help is great!

What video backend are you using? Have you tried other backends with the same result? What game(s) is this happening to? What non-default graphic settings are you using?
Also, make sure your computer is set to high performance & that your 3D settings is set to Prefer Maximum Performance in the NVidia Control Panel

What non-default graphic settings are you using? I'm currently using OpenGL and I haven't tried other backends, not one hundred percent sure how to switch them without reinstalling everything. The games that it's happened to me on are basically all of the games I have tried so far (Metroid Prime Trilogy, Okami, Zelda: Twilight Princess GCN, and Luigi's Mansion to name a few). And I also double checked and everything was already set to high performance for Dolphin. 06-04-2017, 01:49 PM
try enabling/disabling dual core. Also set all graphic options to there default settings. Make sure IR isn't set to anything above 2x for now. I'm assuming this happens every time you play the games? Does it seem to happen in the same areas? Or just randomly

It no longer randomly freezes but only when entering a new area or talking to a new npc which I assume is normal. Is this true? 06-04-2017, 02:08 PM
When it's saving the shader cache, which will happen when entering a new area, that will happen. But it shouldn't happen every time

Not sure. A Dev probably can explain it. I know some people swear that enabling dual core causes a lot of issues. Sometimes performance issues & even graphic issues.
