This Is Embarrassing As Hell But Please Help Me With Gamecube Issue

Hello

I'm using Dolphin 5.0 and am looking to add cheats, but I've run into a problem. The first screenshot below is from a tutorial on how to use cheats. It mentions clicking on 'Properties' from a game you want cheats for. My games aren't in a list like that. They're in a folder in my documents. When I want to play one I simply click on 'open'  from dolphin and choose a game to play. It mentioned in the tutorial that I had to enable cheats from the config option, and I did. There are no cheats showing for any game I have. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. any help however little, would be greatly appreciated.

Try using the latest version of Dolphin

In Dolphin's configuration, there's an option to tell it to look for games in a particular folder, and that's what it uses to populate the list.

Hey, 

I managed to get the cheats work, but I've run into an obstacle. I used the cheats for max money in Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door when I first started and it worked. I was given 999 coins. I'm now down to like 650 coins and it won't let me use the cheats to max it out to 999 anymore. I tried closing the emulator repeating the same process I did at the beginning to get max coins, but now it doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong?
