so i bought this chinese wiimote off ebay and it came with a nunchuck and without motion plus. i tried to pair it up with my pc(win 10) over a VIVANCO bluetooth 2.0 dongle i have had for over 12 years. the dongle works on windows but i cant find the wiimote to pair it up. tried to sync it on dolphin directly but i wont do either. i have a laptop with integrated bluetooth which i also tried to detect the wiimote without success. yes i use fresh batteries and also tried every button combination and the refresh thing on dolphin etc. there is a red SYNC button under next to the batteries which i also tried. any ideas?

Have you tried the latest version of dolphin? You also might want to try bluetooth passthrough, other wise I'd say your out of luck with a 3rd part wiimote.

yes. just downloaded it. im afraid its something to do with bluetooth compatibility, since it doesnt seem to be able to be detected by dolphin either.

Then you're not using the latest development version. The latest stable version isn't new enough for Bluetooth passthrough.

ok so. all the buttons both on the nunchuck and controller work, except dolphin doesnt detect any movement. i tried metroid prime 3 and super mario galaxy 2 but none of them detects movement. do i need a sensor bar? i heard its not necessary?

A sensor bar is necessary for the parts of games where a cursor is supposed to appear on the screen. (It may also be necessary in some other cases. In particular, you more or less need one in order to play Zelda: Skyward Sword.)
