Third-Party Wii Remote Compatibility

Hi there! So, I am using Dolphin from a long time now and I used an Android app called "Dolphindroid" for a controller. It detects my moves, yes, but there are a lot of cons. It doesn't emulate a nunchuck and it's just not that comfortable. So I finally decided to buy a Wii Remote, but since I can't afford an original one, I decided to buy an third-party one online. It does work for the original Wii, obviously, but I don't know if it will work for the emulator. Many people bought it for the emulator, but their comments are just sorta like "Hope it works", so they don't help me at all. I can't contact these people. I checked some threads on the forums here to look for an answer for my question, but I didn't really find it. The threads were also at least five years old, so things are probably different now. The Wii Remote brand I want to buy is "new2in1", is there someone here who uses that one? Thanks!

I think in general most wiimotes should work in dolphin nowadays (might need passthrough, etc.), but I don't know if that is guaranteed.

If you're using passthrough, then yes. If not, don't count on it.

Thanks for the answers! I am ordering it today, but now I found out that I need to have a "sensor bar", do I really need it here on Dolphin? Can't I just put some lights there and play? Thanks!

Thanks for the fast answer! I have some tiny lights there, they might do the job. I heard candles are a solution too, but they are kinda smelly, so I am just gonna try with the lights first. Thank you once again!
