Thinking of upgrading to Wiimote

Hello fellow Dolphin users,

I've been using dolphin on a dedicated htpc for about a year now and have been really happy with the results. Our rig has four xbox 360 controllers which work well with dolphin, a 750 ti graphics card and an i3 4160, all hooked up to a 50 inch plasma tv. Performance is fine to great and the union of our dolphin and our steam library makes for a vast selection of games.
Regularly we have people coming over to watch a movie and play some games on the system. While the current setup is really great, we were thinking about expanding on it with a wii controller setup.

I would like to ask some questions about this expansion. I've been browsing through the forums and read about the Mayflash Sensor Bar. Our system does not have any bluetooth connectivity, so this device seems more than appropriate for the situation. What are your thoughts about this item? Secondly, the wii controller market seems to be quite hazy. What are your thoughts on Nintendo Wii controllers and third party alternatives? Is MotionPlus a requirement for my specs? Do you have any recommendations for webshops or products?
Finally I wondered what great coach Wii controller games dolphin has to offer.

First off, if you're gonna to buy a Wiimote, make sure it's a genuine Nintendo Wiimote. Fake/3rd-party ones are hit or miss and in the most cases won't work at all with Dolphin and/or Dolphin Bar. Also, you don't need to worry about Motion Plus; all Wiimotes sold today already have Motion Plus built-in.

So yes, a MayFlash Dolphin Bar plus one or more genuine Nintendo Wiimotes is all that you need (maybe you should consider some Nunchuks too depending of the games you want to play; some require them)...

Purchasing used official wii controllers saves a lot of money. How important is the Motion Plus attribute? Does it heavily contribute to the experience?

It depends on the game, some you have to have it and some games don't, I don't think it is optional for anything tho.

If you're looking to save a little bit of money you can probably get by without motion+. Only 6 games need it and of those 6 Skyward Sword is the only noteworthy one so if you're not big on Zelda or any of these games you can probably just get a regular Wii Remote.
