I'm talking about scaling the HUD, not disabling culling outside of the standard view frustrum (there is indeed an AR code for that). If you look in the link I posted, there is a thumbnail of an image which is now lost to time, which shows the icons and other elements of the visor being stretched to match a 16:9 view.
