but, in the above - as mentioned - my computer is substituted with the swedish den här datorn.
Den här datorn isn't part of the actual path, it's just a virtual name that Windows shows you for convenience, so the ä in there isn't the problem. If you click on the empty part of the box that shows you that path, it should change over to showing the actual path.
