The revision delemma

I would like the OPINION of the community; I am not instigating a flame war or trolling. Essentially, the stable release is highly well... stable and efficient (and ancient), but the SVN revisions have many new features (but can often be dirty and slapdash). So, which revision IN YOUR EXPERIENCE provides the best stability and the most modern options?

Really, I mean I have tried some revisions but all never seem to achieve the same FPS of the old stable build from a year ago. I'm sure I'll find that perfect marriage of modern options and stability if I dig through the archives long enough, but this could be much easier.

i use 2 revisions for different games

r5152 (Tales of Symphonia 1+2 / F-Zero / Lost Kingdoms 2)
r7374 (F-Zero / Wind Waker / SSBB)

there's probably better revisions for these games

I use it for more than half of my games

For me 6970 was the last good revision. It's perfect for all of my games except MP/MP2 which are only stable in newer revisions but in exchange for that I get some other issues that only occur in newer revisions (missing fog affect, and black screen crashes when it's supposed to show samus's face). Metroid Prime 3 is in an abysmal state but since it's that way in all revisions their is nothing I can do about that.

Current lineup:
-Wind Waker
-Twilight Princess
-Metroid Prime
-Metroid Prime 2
-Pikmin 2
-Animal Crossing
-Mario Party 7
-Donkey Kong Country Returns
-New Super Mario Brothers
-Super Mario Galaxy 2
-Metroid Prime 3

And those are just the ones I've dumped. I have 2 dozen more games just lying around. I would also check out 6505 and 6075, both are excellent revisions.

If you have a decent computer try r7282, very stable for GC games as far as I know, I nearly got 70% on Hylian Field in Zelda TP, which is pretty good and the rest of the game runs smooth like butter with some... minor glitches due to cheats. Well in all honesty I should apologise for simply sticking my nose in and not bring anything constructive.

Earlier today , on other forums , I had encountered those 2 other words refraining myself from commenting as I would feel is only polite. But then came across Delemma barely 5 minutes later where I just felt the strange compulsion to blurt out my inappropriate comment.

I find Delemma to be by far the least impressive of the lot.

Some guy calling himself a genious , and another feeling superior calling someone else rediculous did make me chuckle a whole lot louder.

Again I am sorry for just venting in the thread .

Meh, who needs nitpickyness anyway?

I found that build 6970 was the best for me.
My M11X barely skims along at 30FPS (in the stable build) in pikmin 2 (contrary to the popular belief in this forum) and that build suited my needs to a degree that I simply did not expect.
