Edit: Apparently Wiinremote uses the IR sensor, are you sure you are using the IR function instead of the Motion sensor in Wiinremote? Maybe you are too close as silveruniverse said. Also, try to shorten the distance between candles.
yes i have enabled ir sensor on wiinremote and works fine and i think no mater how much i step back it still wont work. y isn't there more options on dolphin ? should it just work automatically and thanks for your reply

i know it is quite astonishing on laptop though haven't seen much around with 16gb but u could mabey get higher lol
