I think the bigger question is if this will be fixed. I mean, it definitly should, it's a huge issue. And it doesn't get enough attention at this point I think.

BTW. If anyone preordered the Skyward Sword bundle, I have heard the remote plus controller that comes with it will work in dolphin.

I agree, but it looks like from now on everyone who gets a Wiimote+ will have this problem. I just hope its some mundane issue that's relatively easy to fix by the fine folk working on Dolphin.
Also if the people working on it need me to test anything with the controller, I'll do what I can to help out.

By the way, is there no edit button here am I just missing it?

I sent an email to the main developers under the contact link on Dolphin's home page. I adressed the issue and concluded by asking them that very question. Im sure it will be fixed soon enough. And your right, this is a HUGE issue. Its just our job to make sure people know about it so it can be dealt with.
Quick question to go with this. Why can i not see my thread under the controller section of the forum? I can only see it if go to "View New Posts" or "View Today's Posts". Also, untill i make a comment and it loads a new page I can not see anyone else's replies.

Okay so we are getting somewhere. Someone was able to get the controller to be recognized by dolphin and to rumble by changing some coding. Anyone know how to do this?

Ah damn, the last post there doesn't sound too good. "It's simply not going to work without extensive work + testing. It's a long way off, it seems."

I managed to get the new wiimote to pair up by modifying the source code.

How did you get it to compile? Mine continually gives me the error of not having windows7.1SDK installed. Which I don't... Because it won't install without giving me an error... Btw did you get the rumble to work? I'm gonna mess with the code some more after I get off work and see if some of the inputs will work....

After installing the DXSDK and Win7.1 SDK, I needed to edit the project settings and add the Lib and Includes directories for directx to each project that wouldn't compile. After that, everything compiled without issues.
