I noticed that the newest version of dolphin (rev 4429) includes a new video plugin that is WAY slower but WAAAAY more compatible with my games. does anyone (developers?) know what the difference is between the "dolphin software renderer" and the "dolphin openGL"?

It seems to run more games that had problems due to the video plugins, but obviously does not run games that fail to run due to core issues.
Asus Laptop: K53TA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit - SP1 CPU: AMD Llano A6-3400M, Quad-Core, 1.4GHz-2.6GHz (Overclocked) GPU: AMD Radeon HD6650M, 1GB GDDR3 (Catalyst 13.1) RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3-1333 10-21-2009, 03:59 PM
The software plugin is being built to do everything accurately rather then go for spped like the D3D and OpenGL plugins.
