Quote:you mentioned the 3570
Read his post again please ! 3570k , not 3570
k = overclocking
no k = no real overclocking
Quote: the i7 i mentioned isnt far off. it can use 2 cores almost to 3.5 similarly the i5 almost reaches 3.8 in dual core. it is very similar, so why can't i play zelda on gc with lle or mario galaxy lle
Mario Galaxy + LLE = i5 2500k @ 4.4GHz or i5 3570k @ 4.2GHz no less

is there such thing as a 3570?

i only found 3570k

so that means the stock cpu by intel is the k and if you overclock, technically it isn't what intel made.

when i said 3570, it means K!!!Dodgy

so one has overclocking potential. he never mentioned a clock speed so there was no need to assume a clock speed or even much difference between the 2

Overclockability is the big difference between the two.
I would definitely recommend the 3570K over the 3570.
That way you can always overclock should you run into performance issues. (Which rarely happens btw)

Clock speed is the second most important factor, after the CPU microarchitecture.

ok, so now i'm being asked to overclock a cpu. so either i buy an expensive cpu or learn how to overclock?!? i mean really. that's no result. i'm sure there are very talent overclockers and it is probably easy. this just shows how much you need to do to make dolphin work. it's impractical. so much work for little gain. what's the point?
