About the pic:
Link appearing much how he does in Twilight Princess, but noticeably without a sword. In the same image, a ghostly girl that resembles the Queen of Fairies from The Wind Waker is standing beside him. Fans have noticed that the girl wears a dress that resembles the hilt of the Master Sword, along with several other features that come close to the Master Sword's design.
Miyamoto has stated in an interview with IGN that the new Zelda will be in a different era than Twilight Princess, thus it will not be a direct sequel.
Lvl up my Brawl card!

LOL XSFOX, that guy made a nice try, but the image is original. Go to gamespot, and look for "Zelda Wii (Tentative title)" You'll find that image and an interview with Shigaru Miyamato which confirms it. The Game is expected for release on 2010 or 2011.

Did we finally establish the point in this thread.

Otherwise, why is it still alive? 0.0

the obvious point of this thread is to discuss the theme of the new zelda game, and to debate the existence of the living embodiment of the master sword ;D
