Hello fellow Dolphin users,
I was hoping that someone could help me with an annoying problem I'm having on a particular area in the Wind Waker.
The problem
The problem is that about half of my screen gets filled with 2 black vertical spiky bars that shake horizontally when I enter the caves on dragon roost island.
I have found a related thread which didn't solve my problem, but might be useful to you to help me (thread includes screenshot): http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-599...l#pid57365
The reason I'm making a new thread is because I believe the old thread isn't serious enough/ doesn't provide a real solution. I have tried all potential solutions in the thread.
What I tried
I've tried both OpenGL and direct3d (normally I always use OpenGL). I play the game with efb copy disabled, because this feature makes everything in the distance really blurry and ugly for me (only in this game). When I turn efb copy on, the 'bars' aren't visible anymore, but the screen is still messed up:
This screenshot is taken with efb copy on. An image of the bars with efb copy off can be seen in the thread I have linked to before.
I've also tried different revisions of Dolphin, including 4773 and old ones like 3xxx and 2xxx.
My system info
Dolphin revision: svn r 4771 (x64)
OS: Windows vista ultimate x64
CPU: Intel q9450 overclocked to 3.6ghz
GPU: Ati radeon 3870 x2
Memory: 4gig
Sound card: SupremeFX II HD
Harddisk: Samsung Spinpoint f1 1tb
Catalyst drivers:
Driver Packaging Version 8.65-090813a-087739C-ATI
Catalystâ„¢ Version 09.9
Another thing
In the thread I linked to, a user called Nargoth said this:
'1. i think safe texture cache fix that
2. use latest dolphin build -r4733-'
However safe texture cache doesn't work for me in revision 4771. Maybe it does in 4733? I can't test this because I'm unable to find a build for 4773.
