Sorry, I guess I should have been more clear. I was only speaking to the way turbo works. I wasn't trying to bring any clock for clock performance comparison up; I didn't even realize there where benchmarks on that site. I am well aware of how Ivy compares to Sandy in benchmarks and am not trying to dispute them regardless as to how close or far apart they are in dolphin.

I'm on Windows 8 Pro x64, other specs are in my signature. Also, my game region is PAL so I had to use Shonumi's save from Page 2.Thought I'd do this again as you said I did one of the saves incorrectly or something (with the salesman boat, right?) Same as before, but new clocks - the frames are slightly better. Specs and validation are in my sig once again. Save 1: Save 2: Save 3:
Thank you very much for participating.
No, you should take it when the salesboat is gone. Give the game a few seconds to dispose of him too. Could you retake the first one without it? Ah, I see that your 2500K is at 5.15GHz. I'll add your result once you've updated your post. 03-26-2013, 12:58 AM

Is there a reason why using the official (and far better) 3.5 isn't recommended for benchmark tests?

Probably. Like this benchmark used 3.0 stable, the latest stable release at the time, future cpu benchmarks would probably use 3.5 stable. Unless 4.0 was already out. I guess there is nothing stopping anyone from creating another benchmark at any time.

It would fracture the results and force us to start all over again. And there is no benefit to doing it.
