Intel HD Graphics 4600
Save 1:
1x: 85 FPS
2x: 70 FPS
3x: 35 FPS

Save 2:
1x: 69 FPS
2x: 60 FPS
3x: 45 FPS

Save 3:
1x: 104 FPS
2x: 72 FPS
3x: 34 FPS

Overall, the speed seemed to be slightly lower than when using discrete graphics, even at low IRs. Lowering the resolution below 1x didn't do anything.

Edit: I'm noticing some variation between benchmark results. When I first switched back to discrete graphics, I was getting low numbers compared to my original stock benchmark, maybe 4-5 fps lower. Now after letting Dolphin run for a while, I've stopped and restarted all the tests, and it's running 2-3 FPS higher than my original tests. I wonder what's causing that.

Thank you! So sad performance isn't boosted like with Dolphin, so it's hard choice between old generation with good overclocking abilities and extremely hot Haswell.

You're going to have to OC an older cpu a lot more to reach the same performance which will make it run just as hot or hotter than haswell not to mention require a much steeper voltage bump (which is less safe). There is no question at this point that haswell is by far the best choice for dolphin.

Oh, wow. HD 4600 can run Wind Waker at 3x native, fullspeed.
Not bad, Intel!

Just so you know, disable visual effects desktop when running dolphin, it'll run faster and you won't notice in fullscreen anyway.
MOBO/case: Dell XPS Desktop

Optimizations like that could skew the results. For this benchmark I would advise against it.

WW is very light on the gpu. The fact that it is only getting 120-150% speed at 3x IR means that most games won't be playable at that IR. I'm more curious to see if it can handle SMG2 at 2x IR fullspeed.

It seems to be getting around a 25% speedup in IGP performance over the HD 4000 which is also what we saw with PC game benchmarks.

I recently put together a 100% fanless HTPC for Dolphin (and other emulators). I achieved some pretty impressive results - most games are playable, drawing only about 120W of power under full load. Admittedly, the performance isn't quite good enough for what I was originally hoping for, and I'm going to be returning some parts for Haswell + a discrete passive GPU (specifically, I'm looking to improve multiplayer performance, while achieving 2xIR).

Here is the current build:
  • CPU: AMD A10-5700 (3.4GHz, 65W TDP)
  • Mobo: MSI FM2-ITX
  • RAM: 8GB G.SKILL Ares 1866
  • SSD: 120GB Samsung 840 SSD
  • PSU: PicoPSU 160XT + 192W power adapter
Results:

FPS/VPS/Speed
1: 45/90/150%
2: 38/77/128%
3: 60/121/201%

You may not need a discrete GPU with haswell

You should get one anyways. Especially if you want to use higher than native resolutions.

Since Haswell run hot , you will have to add cooling fans anyway
