I sad to say that HLE runs at full speed and is a lot more tolerable of course your not hearing the full range of instruments in it but it runs at speed and in sync. I can play this game fine at 16x AF and 4x native res so far. I am using Dolphin rev.735-dirty. It jsut sounds SO much better with LLE sound but it really doesn't work properly. Its a shame.

Does it works at full speed in Ruli/Lazulis City? How's your FMVs?

Oh, well, I was delighted with the very beginning as well. Good luck.

OK I made it to the city Lazulis. FMV's have slow down and Audio doesn't work so well. All in game cut scenes play fine. Also keep in mind for some reason I dont get 30 FPS... I do not know why but I seem to be capped at 25 just like it is with Skies of Arcadia for me.. Well anyways. All gameplay plays fine and normal no slowness at all during. As for the city itself I get down to as low as 18fps in parts. I didn't test it out all that much but that's what I saw for now.

I hope once I am able to OC my CPU to 4.5GHZ I won't experience any slowdowns at all from anywhere but who knows huh?

Well that's it for my update.

In case you were wondering my system specs are as follows.

I5 3570 3.4GHZ
2GB 6950
8GB DDR 1600mhz RAM

This wekk I am getting themal paste and a nice heat sink fan and hoping to OC my CPU big time. I hope this will increase performance dramatically.

I just tried the new NTSC-U version and it performs much better in all areas. I only got stutters in the FMV just after the Forest Beast, but all others before that one are clean. It seems either EuRGB60 or PAL in general is causing a lot of overhead. Oh, and initial start did require EFB Copies to RAM. Didn't test if loading a save requires it as well.

Guess I'm stuck with the horrible English voice acting Sad

Maybe not... I don't think its horrible but I think theirs an Undub patch somewhere. Well after searching it seems theirs only a patch for the PAL version. Go figure...

I thought I'll do an update from the problems I have found in this game. I do not have screenshots for them but the only ones that would matter is the graphical glitches I have ran into. I must confess that I lied about what I said with the audio but at the time it did reign true though. After play the game for 6+ hours I can fully note what problems their are with the emulation for this. A lot of times the audio will get ahead of itself in the game. Other times it would cut out completely being completely silent. HLE audio type is still is the best to use for this game regardless of what anyone says.

As for the graphical glitches. One of the biggest ones is that if the camera gets too close to an object/person they will turn blurry, really blurry. Sometimes it would be like this when you load up the menu. You can still read equip stats etc etc on the first screen still fairly well but its hard to make it out. If you were to go into the equip screen for example then everything will be all washed out with mutiple color types covering up the persons name boxes and what not for an example.

I will provide screen shots for all of this when I can to give you all a better idea on what I am talking about.

This is a common problem with emulation of consoles. The audio is supposed to follow the video at constant frame rate. Whenever emulation speed drops below maximum, they go out of sync. LLE stutters, and HLE keeps playing the audio at expected speed, ending before the cutscene video actually ends. Until they improve either HLE or LLE, we are stuck with audio problems.

I get this too, but I thought it was normal for the game, a hack to keep the performance acceptable.

No, the bluriness is not part of the game. I do remember there being a few revisions where the bluriness problem did not occur, but as of the latest git, it still happens. If you play the game on your Wii, the difference is clear. I'll also add two more issues with the game that I've experienced.
1) Running the game in Dual Core mode on Linux causes the game to crash after ~15 minutes
2) When using HLE audio, cutscenes will be overlayed with a very loud, high-pitched noise (maybe Linux only?)

I'd like to see the first post updated to conform to the template so that it's easier to keep track of issues and fixes, but unfortunately it looks like the OP has not been active lately.

I can confirm that frequent crashes on linux, but not the noise in cutscenes. It worked pretty much the same for me on Linux as on Windows, although much better in every area except stability. I used ALSA backend.
