I found out that if you unchecked "enable CPU access" and "emulate format changes" the freezing stop. At least I haven't encounter any freeze at the part where the game froze on me. I will report back to see how far into the game I can get with turning off those to settings.

Edit: I got to the second boss and it froze =/ but this settings bypass the first freeze but not the second one, how strange.
