Just to remember, the OpenMP removal is something being discussed for a looooong time, in fact, we even have a very old thread where the developers tried to get benchmark data proving it provided speedups, and all results were inconsistent or the same as without OpenMP. It only lasted that long because nobody cared removing it, I guess.
And I can confirm what JMC47 said: I tested most of my library before OpenMP removal, and there's no difference with it being enabled or not, or if really have a difference, it's small enough that didn't get noticed. It's all a placebo
