The curse point of Supper Mario Galaxy

Hi

Can you help me how to set up IR to move the curser point (little hand curser of the game Supper Mario Galaxy) when choose the option to enter game?
- The curser can not Move down to the bottom of the Screen to choose the other option of the game: Choose Play, chose a character, or someone else.... ==> Can not move the Curser (the little hand curser) to any where in the screen
Please help me

Or How to disabled the Curser and use the D-pad to chopse to setup the option to enter game?
