Hi all,

I know I'm a new forum user here, but I've been a long time Dolphin user. I just found out about texture packs (where have I been, right?) and now I'm ready to fall in love with my old favorite games, just looking better! Unfortunately, I seem to have messed something up royally.

Earlier today, as I was opening stuff, it seemed like all of my texture packs were working. Well, the limited I tried (Paper Mario: TTYD, Xenoblade Chronicles, etc.). I installed a Twilight Princess one and it looks TERRIBLE - super pixely, like, way more pixely than it would look with a texture pack. I asked for some help on the TP texture pack thread and they said something with Dolphin was wrong - the entire image looks bad.

Lo and behold, I checked some other games (also ones with texture packs) and they all look similarly TOO pixelated: SM64, LoZ: WW, etc. I'm really not sure what I messed up. Even if I turn off texture packs, this issue persists. I'm a noob when it comes to the settings side of Dolphin, so I'm at a loss.

Please help me out, Dolphin Support Forum! You're my only hope.

We can only help you with recent official versions of Dolphin, not Ishiiruka. Please test the latest development build and see if you get the same issue there, because chances are that you won't.

You'll have to ask in the Ishiiruka thread if you want support for those builds.

Edit: ninja'd

On it. I'll let you know how it goes. Only reason I tried that one is because some of the texture packs (like Pikmin 2) say this: Ishiiruka-Dolphin is required to make material maps work and is highly recommended.

Okay, I'm running the latest build (JIT64), which I was running before the other Dolphin one (red icon). Here's what I report now:

Things are readable but still not as sharp as I thought they'd be? I have a 2560 x 1440 monitor and Dolphin automatically fullscreens when I launch - I took a screenshot of Wind Waker running at the regular resolution. I still think something is up, though, because when I scaled my Super Mario Galaxy 1 to the same size as the screenshot included with the texture pack, it's nowhere near as sharp.

So, I guess I'm still confused. BUT, I'm running real Dolphin now.

You most likely haven't increased the Internal Resolution setting (Graphics > Enhancements). If that doesn't help, some games are known to not be able to render at high resolutions unless you enable Scaled EFB Copy (also Graphics > Enhancements), but I don't think that's the case with all the games you've shown.

I'm going to go cry now. I swear I'd done that (even going so far as to mess with the half versions, 1.5, 2.5, etc.) but now everything looks AMAZING.

I'm dumb.

Thank you!

Latest dev builds don´t support those IRs... do they?
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

That was when I was on the unofficial Dolphin, red logo one.

My guess is you somehow set it to x0.5 at some point.
