Hey all. I need some people to test a deb package I've made. If all goes well I'll start providing compiled builds for the fine folks here.

Tell me if anything is broken on your end, on mine its working like a charm. (built on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit)

Download deb from mediafire

Thanks!

Ya, recently I have been experimenting with compiling on ubuntu (for my program in my signature) I'd be happy to test out your package, I'll let you know how it goes.

Checkout my latest project ( it is a program that downloads and compiles dolphin on mac and linux now): http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu-downloader (It's unofficial and maintained by me, not the dolphin dev team)

Thanks for checking it out. I guess there's no reason to provide builds then if you have a neat automated tool, lol.

Given that the script barely does anything on linux (probably doesn't even create proper packages), the script doesn't really change anything.. :p (plus, btw: the script is 157 MB big, which is kinda ridiculous...)

However, I guess most people around here who use linux know how to compile stuff by themselves, so demand for precompiled builds is probably very small...

The 157 MB Package is the Mac version packaged with Git for mac. The linux version (Not packaged with git) is just under 10 Kilobytes. And yes, it runes the apt-get command quoted from the wiki, so I am sure it downloads all the needed packages. It doesn't create deb packages, because that would defeat the purpose of compiling your own builds...Just sayin'

EDIT: Forgot about the purpose of this thread, your deb package work great ;D
