Hi everyone!
This is another Xenoblade Chronicles thread, I couldn’t find a solution to my problems. I have a dedicated emulation PC connected with my TV and Dolphin produces tearing in all games and has performance issues in Xenoblade (i havent tested much else).
The main components of the PC are:
First I thought that the problems could be an I/O issue, but it looks like that isn’t the case (especially after I’ve tweaked the HDDs firmware).
Tearing appears all the time in fullscreen mode, but mostly during transitions in menus or similar situations. I’ve tried Dolphins Vsync and Nvidias Vsync but nothing worked. Borderless windows doesn’t really work, I have to active and deactivate it multiple time to get it working.
Beside the general tearing issue I also have instable fps in Xenoblade. I use the default settings except 3x resolutions (or 4x, doesn’t make much difference), 2x MSAA (I think that’s the default one), 16x AF and OpenGL.
I use the Xenoblade Core Texture Pack (DDS) and I'll install the PS3 button icons tomorrow. Some cutscenes have the same issue.
Are there any tips to fix both issues? The fps drops are annoying but the tearing really bothers me.
