TAS input playback desync only during frame dump

Hey folks, I've recently taken to TASing Kirby's Epic Yarn. Well... trying to! Whenever I go to dump the frames to show the other Kribby speedrunners, the inputs start desyncing with the frames after a certain point (for anyone familiar, it's most often right before you're able to enter the door to the Patch Castle tutorial level). I've read that this issue comes from the fact that the emulator doesn't like pretending to be a wii remote too much... But, I haven't seen anybody talk about how to fix it. Do I just hope to get lucky and have the wii remote emulation cooperate during one of the playbacks? Does it not work at all? Is there some settings I can goof around with to help the inputs stay synced? I've been working with it for the last couple hours to get this in working order, but I can't seem to find a way to help it out. There's no way the TAS playback only works with Game Cube controllers, right? That would be really limiting!! Especially because the inputs play back perfectly well during audio dumps and no dumps at all - it's only when the frames get involved. Very confusing.

It could be a timing issue of some kind...

Just to make sure... You're not using dual core, right?
