Hello,

I'm having a weird problem with the tas functionality and Mario Kart Wii on dolphin. When i try to record a session (Emulation -> Start Recording) i have a bit of a problem when it comes to replay the dtm file (Emulation -> Play Recording). I do not get any error at all, but at some point, my character starts to behave weirdly. The moves which are executed are correct, but they happen a bit too late. It looks to me like the game is in advance or like there is some kind of delay (really weird).

Also - i am not quite sure - but i think this only happens when i use save states. I tried some recordings without save states and they seemed to replay accurately.

Maybe someone can help me.

Can you compile the source code of Dolphin? There's a branch of dolphin named "more-save-fixes". It can be found here. http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/list?name=more-save-fixes

That might fix the desync.

With the current version, you could try using Single Core mode, DSP LLE, turn off Idle Skipping and use something other than the DSound audio back-end.

Well,

I just compiled the more-save-fixes branch and did some test runs and it seems to work Smile. I will do some more "stress testing". However, thank you very much skid and the people who were contributing to this branch Smile

Update: The replaying is definetly more stable than before, but there is still the desync issue sometimes. The behavior is very nondeterministic: When you run the replay 20 times you will notice some critical points where it "might" desync. It will desync 5 times at critical point A, 5 times at critical point B and 10 times it will work (or something like this).
