Well, the game on itself suffers performance-wise with the DirectX9 backend.
Going in the menu drops me to 45-50FPS or so.
With the texturepack I go as low as 20FPS.
(The Synopsis menu drops me even lower)

The OpenGL backend gives me like 15FPS more or so, but they too drop when going through the menus.

Well I know the menu's are texture heavy, but they're more demanding than playing the actual game lol.
Do you think this could be optimized?

quick heads up!

it seems you cant use half opacity on the composite texture for the dialog borders, because you get weird bugs(like you enabled texture filtering)

I will test some more

THx for the info delroth but sadly I am still learning to program and its probably beyond me.

its doesnt look so good, Its too bad I cant make smooth edges.

Well that certainly looks much better than the vanilla texture, nice job!
What size did you create them at?

all of them double the original size.
It doesnt matter at all if you make it a power of 2.

I updated dropbox to everything which is currently done.

Once you make the other menu I will completely rewrite the first post

Yeah you can do that for these kind of textures.
And as I said before, modern GPU's can work with non-power of two textures, but theres a small performance loss.
But for ground/wall, etc textures, a power of two texture would work best. (For mip-mapping etc)

I shall work on it tomorrow as it's like... 4:19AM right now.
Will have it hopefully finished then.

yeah the composite textures is a multiple of 2 but the textures in it arent.
So I made the menu textures the same size as the one in the composite ones(which is exactly 2x as big).

goodnight
