Tales Of Symphonia DotNW hangs, help!!!

the game runs perfectly.
until I try to go down a staris in the temple of darkness.
The screen turns black and hangs there.
Im using release r7274.
Why can this be???
is it the emulator, the iso image or what?
pleaaase help me.
