I'm playing ToS so far so good.
In weeks, i've learned a lot of tricks to get the emu running at least faster at battles.
The best build i've tested so far is 3828.
You must untick "Enable Idle Skipping", don't enable Anti-Aliasing in any way, leave it turned off unless you wanna take a huge performance hit, i don't have a weak graphic card, is an HD4870 1GB, factory overclocked.
In DSP settings, untick Enable Other Audio.
Tick "Use Safe Texture Cache", otherwise the text on screen will look messed, every line will break, hardly readable.
Enable Dual Core is a must, but be aware, the game crashes more often, save frequently, you never know when it crashes.
There's a moment which always crashes when Dual Core is enabled, when you are in Palmacosta and you talk to a woman asking for an escort to Hakonesia Peak, in fact is a shortcut to reach there without need to cross almost the entire continent, when you arrive at Hakonesia Peak, your game will surely crash, unticking dual core will fix, but make your battles slow a lot.
Don't play on IL executable, crashes a lot without apparent reason.
Overclocking your processor helps a lot, i have a Q6600 running at 3.4Ghz, current Dolphin releases uses THREE THREADS.
Every comment made here is Symphonia-specific, but RE1 seems fine with my current settings/build.
