Wii System Menu 4.2 (CDN 482) taken from Super Mario Galaxy 2 works great. Installed it yesterday and is a nice addition to enhance authenticity.
I also installed the Mii channel but it doesn't load from the Wii Menu and reverts back to the Wii menu. However it loads fine from the game list so I was able to create a Mii for Mario Kart Wii, Metroid Prime 3 and Wii Sports. Absolutely love it! 11-25-2012, 07:18 PM
Uhh.... why did you make individual threads for each system menu? The wiki ties them all together because there is little difference between them and they aren't talked about much. I would think that same reasoning would be fine here as well...

What could possible be wrong with DefenderX making threads for the individual Wii System Menus? It's on the Wiki as any other title and is good to have here as well.
I don't know why you find stuff to complain about all the time. Does this really bother you that much so you had to come here commenting? I'm starting to think you're a control freak that only want things in your way and just so you know, I think this Wiki Administrator position thing has made you a little too big for your britches? I haven't seen Jhonn or Kolano here at the forums complaining all the time. Just relax a little.
Hey hey, I only asked the question. It's fine if he wants to do it differently. I asked because the fact he went against what the wiki did implies he had a reason for it, and if it's a really good one I might change the wiki over to match it (it's something I've debated). I'm just curious, that's all.

Until that, he can be as much of a control freak as he wants to, and in this case he isn't even being one. If you're fine with the mess we've had here before that's okay, but we aren't. 11-25-2012, 09:03 PM

If you had known about the Guitar Hero Metallica incident a couple of days ago you too would have been implying the same thing as I have. Because when I added some things there he changed them to his liking. But whatever, do as you please with everything, I'm just a stupid user anyway.
...it's my job. I just standardized it according to standards me, Kolano, Jhonn, and a dozen people before us set up. It's what wiki admins do: keep an eye on edits, keep things uniform and standardized, clean up edits, on and on. Basically just janitors or librarians. Normally when I make a change I just put the explanation in the wiki edit's summary, but this time I went out of my way to send you a PM to explain the changes. With the forum integration, I know a bunch of new people are coming in that don't know how the wiki does things, so I wanted to make sure you understood why I changed it and why the standards are in place.
Am I just explaining things badly or something? I don't understand where this animosity is coming from... ![]() AMD Threadripper Pro 5975WX PBO+200 | Asrock WRX80 Creator | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 FE | 64GB DDR4-3600 Octo-Channel | Windows 11 23H1 | (details)

I'm a bit dubious that the individual threads will get enough commentary to merit their existence. The only reason there are different pages/links on the Wiki is to track the subtle differences in support across the revisions of the Wii System menu, in the end they all lead to the same page.
I was going to ask the same question before noticing MaJoR and Kolano did it already. No good reason provided -> deleting the other threads and keeping only one.
Also, wtf @ Duke Nukem attacking the guys who try to keep the forums and wiki well organized. Really? |
