Hello good people Smile
I've been playing Wind Waker for some while now and I get a stable 100% performance with my stock CPU speed on 2.5x internal res.
It is enough for me and the game is super enjoyable.
Now, my question is, can anyone tell me how Skyward Sword would perform on my PC if WW works great ?
My friend has got the game and a wiimote/nunchuck with motion+. I would really love to know if it'll work well before asking him to borrow it to me Smile
I don't have any problems with turning the internal resolution down a bit or playing with the settings. For Wind Waker I just downloaded the latest Dolphin build and turned on the
Widescreen Hack, 2.5 internal res and started playing Smile Even in the open sea just roaming around I get a stable 100%.

Thanks in advance!

Skyward Sword is a different beast. Must newer game, more polygons, more graphical effects, etc.

I say give it a chance though; if you can run one well, maybe the other won't be too much more difficult. I find Skyward Sword somewhat more demanding than Wind Waker, though.

Skyward sword is demanding compared to windwaker, i don't have an amd cpu to tell you what speed you might get but i don't think you will have similar experience with it. Wind waker is among the most lightweight games for dolphin, skyward sword isn't.

Thanks for the input. I'll give it a go and post the results after I'm done playing with the settings. If you can recommend any other lightweight games, just post a list please ^____^

SSBM and Kirby Air Ride are some excellent lightweight games. I can also recommend Mario Kart: Double Dash. There are tons of others I'm sure, but those games are good to start with.

I've played Xenoblade Chronicles for a bit now and it was running near perfect on 2.5X Smile
Experienced 4-5 FPS hickups. but it only drops from 30 to around 25 for 1 second and goes back to normal. Happens when I center the camera. Other than that it works really fine. I'm using openGL atm. Should I change it for better performance or just leave it as it is ?
