So I downloaded SVN 2745.
And whenever I try to run a game, I get that blasted OpenGL message everyone seems to get.

So I checked my chipset and OpenGL support.
I'm running on a MacBook (early 2008 model, before they finally wised up and switched to Nvidia), which runs on the Intel 965 Express Chipset. I know for a fact that this chipset does not support OpenGL 2.1.

But there's a problem. I can't switch to DirectX. The emulator only gives me the option to use OpenGL under the Graphics area of Configuration.

I've installed the March 2009 DX9 updates as well (I'm using WinXP). Is there something I'm missing? I heard the DX9 driver doesn't work anymore, should I try an earlier version of Dolphin?

And do not tell me to upgrade my graphics card, because this is NOT an option.

I have the same computer, and the same OS. In my experience, the DX9 plugin from the new versions won't work. I'm currently using a DLL that I copied from an older version (not the entire older version, because SVN 2745 runs faster, at least sometimes, for me). I'm not sure which version I got it from, but it was probably from one of the ones that had been on the main download page. It is a few weeks newer than the plugin in SVN 2195, but that works fine too.

But if someone knows how to use the newer DX9 plugins, that would be even better. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
Macbook 3,1. Core 2 Duo, 2.2 GHz. Intel GMA X3100. 4GB RAM. Windows XP (x86), Mac OS X 10.5.

Hey Kainino do you really have a working DirectX9 dll plugin that works with latest builds? Would you upload it somewhere?

I can't use Dolphin since 2390 build because some unfinished changes in the DirectX9 plugin. I could play a lot of games with the old one, but now i can play nothing.

But DirectX9 issues have NULL priority for devs (don't know why because 90% of the world have non-compliant OpenGL 2.1 PCs or Laptops), so it's going to take a while I can load a game again.

But you don't have another choice, but just wait for D3D9 plugin improvement or using previous versions of Dolphin Tongue
