Good Evening, I just got a Surface Pro X and wanted to download Dolphin but it seems that 5.0 does not want to work on there and when I go to use 4.0.2 the audio gets extremely jumpy. Can someone help walk me through this or if there is any recourse to solve my problem? I am not a coder or a computer wiz so please try to use less technical terms so I can better understand. Thank you very much in advance.

Does dolphin give you any errors? Have you tried the latest beta?

Hi there, I have not tried the latest beta but I suppose I can give that a try. I attached the error message I am getting although it is very vague.

The Surface Pro X has an ARM CPU, so you can't run normal x86-64 apps on it. The reason why 4.0.2 could start is probably because you used the 32-bit x86 version of it, but on top of that version being pretty bad in itself, the performance is also hurt by your computer having to translate from x86 to ARM.

The latest versions of Dolphin do have full support for Windows 10 on ARM, but unfortunately we don't publish binaries for that on the website. So if you want the latest version of Dolphin, I suppose you have to download Visual Studio 2019 and build it yourself – not exactly the most user-friendly thing.

Is there a tutorial of some sort that can walk me through that process? Thank you for the reply I very much appreciate it.

Well, there is this, but it leaves out some details since it's intended for people who already know a bit about development: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/w...or-Windows

(Make sure to select "Release (arm64)" in step 3.)
