Weird question, how could I port dolphin to Wii to get online support? I know that it is not the purpose of dolphin, but could it work on the hombrew app?
Support on Wii?

There was a demo of someone who'd managed to get something equivalent to Dolphin's netplay feature (IIRC by using game-specific hacks rather than something that would work for every game) working on the real console, and either they or the person they'd recorded the demo video with looked suspiciously like someone who'd sometimes mark my Java work at university, although I didn't make the connection at first.

There was a thread many years ago where someone inquired about the idea of porting Dolphin to the Wii U and basically only emulating the Wii GPU but having the CPU essentially run natively.

Melee and Mario Kart: Double Dash, right? Not games that actually had online multiplayer support on real consoles e.g. Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii? I only say this because, if you did mean games that actually had online multiplayer support on real consoles, then there are ways to re-enable such a thing on real Wii hardware.
