Hello all,
I recently got my kids a couple of GameCube controllers:

They were playing games on the Dolphin for a week or two just fine, but now both controllers have severe joystick issues.
For example in a racing game, just opening the menu to pick a race is difficult as the menu is constantly scrolling super fast as if someone is holding down "up" or "down" on the GameCube controller joystick. All this while no one is touching the controller.
Racing is almost impossible. Sometimes turning left is impossible. We disconnect the controller mid-race and plug it back in. All of a sudden, turning right is impossible.
One commentary I've seen a lot is that Dolphin could be losing a connection to our adapter:

However, I have yet to see any evidence of this in the logs:

I have tried reinstalling drivers via Zadig, I have tried changing versions of Dolphin to the first 5.x instead of the latest, and I have tried blowing any possible dust out of the adapter controller ports.
Disconnecting and reconnecting the controller has some small effect, but does not really fix the issue.
What can I do to fix this?
