Support for Sega emulator ?

Hello,
I found out that the Wii console can play numerous emulators of other consoles like Nintendo, Sega, etc....
So I thought maybe Dolphin can play them too, so I downloaded the smsplus emulator ( Sega Master System and Game Gear )
I thought it would be cool playing Light Phaser gun games with the wiimote on my PC.
I opened the smsplus_wii.dol file and Dolphin gave a few errors :
"BackPatch : Currently Only Supporting Reads
Attempted to write to 933e0004"
and if you press OK, it says :
"Backpatch write not through EAX"
After that pressing OK will result in numerous of the same errors till finally you're left with a black screen.

So my question is : Is it at all possible to run this Sega emulator on Dolhpin ?
Thanks in Advance.
Best Wishes for 2014 Everyone,
Soxbrother

You don´t even need to download emulators for Dolphin. The "emulators" you are referring to are called Virtual Consoles; some of those games work and others don´t.

Simply dump your .DOL or .WAD file from the Wii and then put´em in your PC.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 800/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

DJBarry, not every SMS/GG game was released for the Virtual Console though, so the OP does have a valid reason for using SMS Plus over Virtual Consoles.

Having said that, SMS Plus is a homebrew port of that emulator. Dunno much about getting homebrew to work in Dolphin, but I'm guessing the easiest way would be to dump your NAND on a real Wii with SMS Plus already installed on it.

Failing that, if all you really want to do is play Light Phaser games on your PC, just find a desktop emulator that emulates that functionality via the mouse, then use a program that translates Wiimote input into mouse movement and mouse clicks.

I don't have a Wii console, so I can't dump a "NAND" Confused

I didn't know that was possible, I'll look into that.
I also have the Homebrew Channel when I load the system menu in Dolphin, but when I press start, all it gives is a black screen.

I also made a sd.raw file containing the smsplus emulator, but Dolphin doesn't detect the sd card, I checked the sd card box in the Dolphin settings and also tried every directory to place the sd.raw in, but nothing happens.
Maybe Dolphin, in it's current state, isn't able to start such programs or channels.

I know, but I was only referring to the mayority of the cases in which a game does have its Virtual Console´s release.

I just googled for "wiimote as a mouse", and it's actually possible and I've already seen gameplay video's.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Why didn't I think of that ? Cool

Thanks for the help
