Currently trying to get SSBM to work on Dolphin.. When i launch the game it goes directly to a screen that says "The memory card in slot A has no save game data on it. Create Game Data?" Problem is.. it wont let me click or do anything besides exit out of the game.

I found a thread on this but the guy didn't share how he fixed it. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Did you make sure to setup the GC Controller? Click the GCPad button and make sure the input is correctly configured, then click the Config button and go to the GameCube tab and make sure Port 1 is set to Standard Controller.

But do you have Port 1 set to Standard Controller? For that matter, do other games properly respond to input?

Post your settings for your controller then as a screenshot. A workaround would be to download a .GCI GameCube save an import it into Dolphin's emulated memory card. You can find a lot on GameFAQs.com for example.
