I was wondering if there is any performance difference between the PAL version and the NTSC version of Super Smash Bros. Melee, since I'm using the NTSC version with a Phenom X3 8650 @ 2.7ghz with a Geforce 9500GT and I'm getting around 30fps on this game, when people with computers way under my specs are getting the game to run at full speed.... and yes... i've tried EVERY SINGLE configuration posted on multiple threads on this forum, and also tried many others by myself, since i'm kinda experienced in configuring emulators... so... is there any difference between these 2 versions?

fullspeed -

PAL - 25/50 FPS
NTSC - 30/60 FPS

but NTSC has a higher refresh rate, so its smoother than PAL.

try turning off frame limiter and audio throttle.
Don't let tha name fool you... I'm not rich... yet... Tongue

already tried that: no difference (just tried AGAIN to confirm)...
shouldn't i be running this game at full speed? o.O
and i already tried closing programs unrelated to dolphin... no difference...
maybe your computer is to strong to see any performance difference between both versions... please try turning off the frame limiter and audio throttle and see if you see any difference in the fps... =/

btw... i'm using rev5453 by mamario...

and thanks for the reply...

Well, someone close this thread please.... i just got the PAL version and its running in solid 100% speed... so it actually DOES make a difference....
Problem solved.

ps.: the ntsc version didn't show the 5 stars at the emulation state tab on the ROM SELECT menu of dolphin.... but the PAL is showing...

I'm curious if Dolphin has evolved to resolve these differences? Can you try NTSC again on same system with the latest Dolphin?
