Hello folks ,
Me and my buddy got ourselfs the latest version of Dolphin Emulator (3.0.872-dirty) and Super Smash Bros. Melee and we wanted to play some with the netplay feature.
Connecting and joining is not a problem. Where the problem kicks in is at one hand the performance of the game ( best case = 80% Speed ) and secondly a very weird kind of lag.
Let me try to explain what I mean : When we play a game its like we both play different matches. He sees what I have done 5 seconds ago (like grabbing an item for example) and at some point he would just suicide for me and I am suiciding for him ( jumping off the cliff in-game ofc ). EVEN the outcome of the round is different for both ( I see myself as winner and he sees himself as the winner)

Are there some tweaks in order to increase performance as you have to turn off dual-core ? We are both on high-end gaming rigs with an extremely good internet connection. Should we use another dolphin version ? This HAS to work better somehow.

Also : We had the exact same problem with Super Smash Bros. on a N64 emulator. Other person jumping into death.

We have not let the application scan for a perfect buffer we have just used 20 (saw the '?' button too late)

My Rig :
AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3,8GHz
ATI Radeon HD6870 , 1GB DDR5
8GB DDR3 RAM

First, have a look at the Dolphin 3.0 Netplay Guide; follow any steps that you might have missed.

Quote:Where the problem kicks in is at one hand the performance of the game ( best case = 80% Speed )

Ideally, both of you should be getting 100% or close to it in order to avoid the desyncronization (desyncs) that you described.

Some people have observed Dolphin 3.0 (the last stable release) to be less prone to desyncs that newer GIT releases like 3.0-872.

Not really , i say mid-range gaming rigs
Phenom II CPUs are outdated . Phenom II single thread performance ain't that great , Core 2 duo and Core 2 Quad beat them anyday
If both of you had sandy bridge or ivy bridge CPU (i5 2500k , i5 3570k) , you wouldn't have any lag
Netplay = single core mode
Multi-players = more CPU power (Recommend i5 2500k @ 4.4GHz or i5 3570k @ 4.2GHz for most games)
Laptop:
Clevo W230SS : 3200x1800 IPS | i7 4700MQ @ 3.6GHz (Intel XTU + Triple fan mod) | GTX 860M GDDR5 | 128GB Toshiba CFD SSD | 16GB DDR3L 1600MHz
Aspire 715 43G : 1080p 144Hz |  R5 5625U @ 4.3GHz | Nvidia RTX 3050 4GB | 500GB WD SSD  | 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
Mini PC ::
G3258 @ 4.6GHz | ELSA GTX 750 | Asrock Z87E ITX | 600W SFX 80+ Gold Silverstone + SG06-LITE | Corsair Vengeance 8GB 2000MHz | Scythe Kozuti + Ao Kaze | 45TB 2.5" Ex HDD (in total) , Zelda Gold Wiimote , LE Wii Classic Controller , Gold LE PS3 DualShock , BlackWidow Chroma ,
Now Playing : Xenoblade Definitive Edition on Yuzu - Switch Emu
