Super Smash Bros Melee freezing everytime

I'm new to this, trying to run Super Smash Brothers Melee. Everytime I play the ISO, it freezes within the first 1-5 seconds, no exceptions. Sometimes I can get a few actions off before the freeze, sometimes it's before I touch the controller. I've tried it on a couple different versions of Dolphin. The MD5 Checksum matches what it is supposed to say, so the ISO should be good. Any ideas to try? Need more information? Thanks for the help.
