So, any word on if we're gonna get another update with the new texture protocol?

Also, could you please provide HD vanilla textures? I removed all the custom font text because I prefer the originals. And I have unedited player selection photos because I prefer the default Wario image.

Don't forget to add https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-brawl-hd-retexture-project-v3-6-1-jan-10-2014-super-smash-bros-brawl-hd?pid=326727#pid326727 if you do!

I'm having trouble installing Gecko HD textures for Project M. I'm using an NTSC ISO, and this is the guide that i used to set up PM for Dolphin: http://afriendlyfox.com/2013/07/22/project-m-super-smash-bros-brawl-mod-on-the-dolphin-wii-emulator/
The only difference is I'm using the Gecko WAD as specified by Yami instead of the boot.elf. I have 'load custom textures' checked, and I have all 3 variants of the texture pack in /dolphin emulator/load/textures/, but it doesn't seem to recognize or load any of them. are there any steps that I'm missing?

I tried changing the texture folder name to RSBEC3, but still Dolphin won't load it.
Any ideas?

BTW, you can grab the Netplay builder from here: https://www.smashladder.com/help/windows

Simply renaming the folder won't work because every file in that folder has the "RSBEPM" game ID. So your options are make a PM iso with the "RSBEPM" ID, or change every occurrence of "RSBEPM" in every file to  "RSBEC3" (which is the game ID for netplay build of PM).

Awesome, that worked! Thanks! Big Grin
I batch-renamed all the files using FileRenamer Turbo in just a matter of minutes.
To return the favor, I uploaded the pack for RSBEC3.
Take a look at the files: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B60oOpV6qAULdEl3Tkx4bk16OW8/view?usp=sharing
Download: https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B60oOpV6qAULdEl3Tkx4bk16OW8&export=download

It works amazingly with a shader I edited called "Best bloom"
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B60oOpV6qAULa1FVVVJrR2xUZ1k/view?usp=sharing
Just drop it on the Sys/Shaders folder and select it on Post-Processing effect under the Enhancements tab of the OpenGL backend graphics.

Good luck!

Thank you so much! I was looking everywhere for a fix. This should be on the front page of this thread.

Sorry, but the projectm 3.0 pack was removed a long time ago. Time to merge to 3.5 :/

Hello people, it's been a year since the last time I posted on the Dolphin forums. I hope I haven't missed you too much. ^^
A lot happened this year, due to work principally, so I was not able to continue the project during this period. But now, I'm back =p
Besides that, my main hard drive, which contained all the photoshop files of the High-res projects (Brawl and Tales of Graces) and personal data, suddenly crashed without notice. I was dumb enough to not make a back-up -_-

~Farewell, oh 5 years of my life~

On a slightly more positive note, the project is not canceled, and I bring you today a brand new update. Yeah!
It only works with the new custom textures system, so be sure to use the latest Development version of Dolphin.
Only Project M has been updated at the moment, Brawl will be updated as well, be patient.

4.0 (03/21/2015): (Show Spoiler)
- All textures have been converted to the new Dolphin Custom Texture format, Yeah !
Unfortunately, this update concerns only Project M at the moment, Brawl will be updated as soon as possible.
Thanks to the new format, the pack is compatible with the numerous versions of PM (Launcher, Iso Builder, Gecko OS, Netplay etc...)
No more useless folders on my Dropbox! Yeah !!!
Just a reminder, you need to rename the main folder (RSBEPM for Iso Builder ver., RSBEC3 for Netplay, 00000000 for Launcher etc...)
- Now match with Project M 3.5 perfectly !
- New fonts for the menus, following the PM design
- Several files'aspect ratio have been corrected (70%), way to go!
- Character Selection Screen now matches perfectly with the original design
- Several textures of the main menus have been remade
- Peach, Captain Falcon and Zero Suit Samus got new CSPs
- Various CSPs have been added/corrected
- Battle Portraits as well
- New stock icons
- Thanks Winchester7314 for the Golden Metal Mewtwo (CSP/BP) and the Xbox/PS3 buttons
- Deleted "3_2_1_GO!" folder, all files have been moved in the "Brawl" folder
- Removed the "Bonus" folder from the pack and put it in the Dropbox/Mediafire folder instead
- HD updated strap loaders (put the Wii language in Japanese to actually see them =p). They will be included in the Brawl packs
- A bunch of new textures I can't remember of, so many changes ... ^^"

Nota : Due to the new custom texture format, it's been obvious that the new updated pack will not work with all revisions before
Dolphin v4.0-5234, version which includes the new texture system. An Archives folder has been created for this purpose on my
dropbox/mediafire folder, containing all past textures pack of this project.
Unfortunately, I will not provide support for these versions anymore, but feel free to re-use them.

The GameID by default in the archive is RSBEPM. Before playing, rename the folder with the appropriate ID of the game you're playing with (Iso Builder, Gecko, Netplay Build etc...).
Old texture packs will be moved there. A DDS alternative pack will be created for low hardware configurations.
The opening post has been updated, slighty inspired from Bighead's Xenoblade thread =p

Holy crap, was not expecting anything and am ecstatic to see you've come back to update and refine the pack. Excellent and spot-on work as always. Wish I had a good feel for this because I'd love to bring in the Smash 4 battle hud stuff into HD. Maybe sometime when I finish up classes.

If I had to leave one tiny criticism (that's been the case since the original), the fonts used for the descriptions are a bit rounder then the originals. Not really much of a problem, but it's something if you felt it was ever worth the effort. Overall great work though.

Fun fact : I actually worked on this mod, but ...

Yeah, many people had already pointed out this problem with the fonts a long time ago. The actual font used for the descriptions is Arial Rounded, and it was just employed for testing purpose. I'm actually reworking on those fonts and need your advice/opinion. Here is a sample with Arial Bold, which seems close to the original for me (but not perfect). If you have a better font to propose, feel free to share Smile

Hohhhh yeah, I completely forgot you did do that (along with some other group on KCMM that was building up Smash 4 CSPs). If you have the pre-downsampled versions of those damage numbers and would be willing to share, that would be amazing. Otherwise, don't worry about it. It looks surprisingly good even in its compressed form.

And that looks just about right! Fortunately, all the font for descriptions seems to be loaded from one file so I imagine it's a pretty straightforward alteration.

Just what I've been wanting. Thanks so much for this. I appreciate all the work and effort that's been put in this. I wish the PM team would consider this to be the official texture pack.
