If I wanted to put in my own character retextures, how would I go about doing that?
I imagine I would have to enable texture dumping then play a match with the characters I want to retexture, so I could obtain their stock textures with the proper file names, then use Photoshop to modify them. The thing is, I don't know what folder I'd even put the new textures in.

Did you change on Gecko's config the Hooktype to AXNextFrame ? Largahblarga > Download the last version of Dolphin at the Download button at the top, the version you have doesn't provide from the good website. Nubblecakes > Dophin/User/Load/Textures/RSBE01 (or RSBP01 if you have a PAL version of Brawl) By the way, I noticed that the Pokémon Trainer and his Pokémon custom textures are not loaded anymore in the last revisions (on Character Selection Screen and portrites in match). As usual, I redumped to check if the name of the textures have changed, but the names are the same as before. I did not know since when this occurs but I will take a look. Edit : Okay, Dolphin 3.5-547 is the version responsible for all of this. Quote:Merge branch 'windows-unicode' 06-08-2013, 09:06 AM

I meant what sub-folders of RSBE01 (or in my case, OSGK00). Also, I've also been having trouble getting the textures to load on Project M and vanilla Brawl alike. I switched from version 3.0 rev 913 to version 3.5 rev 1393 thinking my version of Dolphin was the problem, but the problem persists. I'm using version 1.9.3.1 of Gecko OS, and hook type is set to AFNextFrame. Latest version of Project M as well, if that matters. I'm guessing I just overlooked something really obvious here. I have the OSGK00 folder in User/Load/Textures, so that can't be it. I only really care about getting this to work for Project M since I don't really plan on playing vanilla Brawl anymore. EDIT: Got vanilla brawl textures to load, but Project M is still unchanged. I'm guessing it's something to do with the Gecko OS?
Subfolders are optional, you just need to put your custom textures in the game's folder (OSGK00 here) to make them work.
Otherwise, there is no 1.9.3.1 version of Gecko to my knowledge. Are you talking about the 1.9.1, from the OP, or 1.9.3 ? Also, be sure to set the Texture Cache to Fast in your Graphics settings, and the Dump textures unchecked, this option can interfere the texture loading. EDIT : if you have downloaded Gecko from the OP, there will be no problem. If you are using a different version, that's the case. 06-09-2013, 04:17 AM

The WAD I used from that guide was downloaded via NUS Downloader. It's named "IOS36-64-v3608.wad" I downloaded the Gecko WAD you posted earlier in the thread and installed it in Dolphin and tried loading, but it did not fix anything. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the additional files I downloaded from the Wiibrew page are part of the issue. I load boot.elf in Dolphin to run Project M, but they're for the 1.9.3 version, whereas the WAD you recommend is version 1.9.1. Is there an alternative way to load Project M, or do I just need to acquire some additional files to get this running properly? PS: My graphics settings are all properly configured for loading textures. Also, thanks for the help so far.
