Now I just need to figure out how to put in .brstms without them becoming static...
With the SD method you just have to change the hook type of the launcher to fix static music. It's already done with the netplay custom GeckoOS so you just have to select "launch game".
Unfortunately, you can't change to hook type of the official ProjectM launcher so don't use it with Dolphin.

I'm playing the PAL version of SSBB on Dolphin 4.0-x (development branch).

Just put the textures in /Documents/Dolphin Emulator/Load/Textures/RSBE01/

And enable "Load Custom Textures" in Graphics -> Advanced

He said he's using the PAL version, so he should actually put it in /Documents/Dolphin Emulator/Load/Textures/RSBP01/. Also, don't forget to enable "Prefetch Custom Textures" if you have enough RAM (which it looks like you do).
