Hi everyone,

I discovered Dolphin a few days ago, and I decided to try to play to my old SSBB with a friend. We tried it yesterday, and it seems that we are always being desynch 1mn or a little more after the beginning.
I read the Netplay guide, and we've done almost like it said.. Almost because we can't find the Audio Throttle option. Maybe we should used an older Dolphin version?
We are playing with the same iso, same save, with the same options, same Dolphin version (3.5-336), on arena with no random event. I've also read that we should disable the items but we didn't tried that yet. Anyway, if all random events cause desynch, it may be hard to play SSBB since random is part of the game Wink
So if u have a solution to make it works i'm listening, and if u have others games that'll work better than SSBB i'm listening too Smile Maybe we could try Super Smash Bros Melee, i've read somewhere that it's working better...

Anyway, I wanted to thank all the team for the good work; Even if the netplay isn't working well, I've tried it in solo and it's working perfectly without freez/lag or anything =) So thanks, and keep the good work ^^

Ok, so what settings should we use with the framelimit option? And do I have to check the "Limit by FPS" option?
Is it possible to make SSBB work fine, or a lot of bug will remain?

SSBB should run fine with the default settings (there will be small graphical glitches though which can be fixed by enabling EFB Copies to RAM).

btw: It's not necessary to enable the Limit by FPS option.

DefenderX > Are u talking about the Netplay? The game works fine in single player (I only played an hour or so, but I didn't seen anything weird). But when we tried to play with my friend, we were constantly being desynch.
Btw we tried a lot of different settings, including limit fps. Of what we've seen, it seems to work better with low fps (audio limit was like 30fps, and 40fps was working fine too). With the default settings, we were desynch before entering the arena, when selecting character.
Then a second problem, is the spawn location. Sometime i spawn in the left corner on my PC, and I spawn in the right corner on hie Pc =) So we are immediatly desynch. Map with random change => desynch too. I've read in the FAQ about netplay and desynch : "This is also inevitable with any random occuring events in Dolphin.", so I guess there is no solutions for that since the spawn location, map change, and items are random.

We've made one game work, in a basic arena, with audio throttle, limit by fps, sound with no audio output. It's our best result for now, but I don't think that the config work all time. Maybe it was luck dunno, that's why I was asking what is the best settings to play online.

My post was not about SSBB and Netplay, it was just about SSBB in general. Wink

Netplay requires a fast and stable internet connection for both players for the best experience. The Dolphin settings hardly influence Netplay.

This and both need a powerful CPU too

Well I've a i7-920, so it's like 2,67ghz I think, maybe it's not enough with dual core disable, and I should try to overclock it a little.

Yep, overclocking is the best way to improve the performance. But make sure, that your cooling system can handle it!
